Upcoming S/S Trends You Can Work Now

Spring/Summer may seem like a long way off but here are the key retro trends you should have on your radar!

Embellished Dresses

Sequins, sparkles, glitter you name it, it'll be popping up everywhere next season! So why not get ahead of the fashion game and grab a gorgeous embellished dress for  your next fancy occasion? If this all seems a bit OTT then pop on a  simple flapper headband or a beaded clutch bag to try out the odd bit of ornamentation.

Pastels

Whether it's wearing candy-coloured shades in your hair or selecting saccharine filters on your phone, pastels are still going strong! Don a sugary shade in a long-sleeved flapper  dress for a winter-appropriate stab at the style.

Fringed Dresses

Fringing is making a fabulous come back for all your Gatsby themed balls or nights out with the girls.  Nothing says sass quite like a fringed dress that sways when you sashay or strut! Love it!

5 Thing We Love About Summer

1.  Ice cream- Even now we still get mega excited when we hear the ice cream
van music playing  knowing that a 99 is within close grasp! Who doesn't love a
Mr Whippy? For those who are fanatical about ice cream we've even found a
 frock to match!

2. The Beach-  Whether your scrolling on glorious sandy shores or even on
route to Blackpool, the beach never fails to cheer us up. Paddling in the sea or
strolling across the coast line, we just love taking some time out to be beside the sea!

3. BBQ & Garden Parties- At the merest hint of sunshine we're all out in
our gardens firing up the BBQ and constructing make shift cocktail cabinets in an
attempt to entertain our friends.  Well good on us! The sunny weather is definitely something to celebrate.

4. The Weather- Come rain and shine the blissful thing about Summer is that it changes so often it won't really matter. As long as there are bright skies above us
and lazy days that last that little bit longer we'll keep smiling.

5. Summer Wear- From big hats to retro shades we love the opportunity
to bring those pastels out of the wardrobe! Nothing screams Summer more than a
yellow or pale pink tea dress.

Style Steal - Perfect Pastels

Perfect Pastels

We simply adore this cute 50s floral number that the fabulous
Eva Mendes is wearing! Teamed with the dinky pastel clutch and nude headband she looks the epitome of elegance! Flared silhouettes are super flattering and suit almost any figure, whilst the kitsch dark floral shade adds striking interest and works well teamed with pastel accessories. So why not try this quirky retro look yourself?  We've styled out Firework Print Dress with our Nude Clutch Bag , Gold Sunburst Ring and Green Art Deco Hair Clips and accessorised with a mint court shoe (Ravel Hamden Court Debenhams). With its eye popping print and contrasting colour combinations, the overall effect is cute and kitsch. Which as retro enthusiasts, is always a good thing...
